Deploy the Garrison: Season 4 Episode 3 – Battleforce Bingo

With a roadmap full of hints and a production trend that’s starting to show its hand, we figured it was time to play a little game we’re calling Battleforce Bingo.

In this episode of Deploy the Garrison, Kris and Alan take a speculative walk through the upcoming Star Wars: Legion releases, trying to connect the dots between scheduled product launches and what could become the next wave of Battleforces.

But first, we kick things off in the Officers Mess with some event recap and a list recommendation...

Alan’s Recon Event (Republic, 600 Points)

Players participating in a Star Wars: Legion Recon event at Rooks Comics and Games, Montana. Multiple themed game boards and terrain setups are in use.

A look at the recent Recon event hosted by Alan at Rooks Comics & Games, Montana — a perfect testing ground for 600-point lists and emerging metas.

Alan recently hosted an Event at Rooks comics and games in Montana, they used the new Recon game mode, and added in an additional Highlander listbuilding restriction where you could not take multiples of the same unit (GAR being an exception as they only have one until Marksmen arrive) this is the list that took home the top spot and we think if you're looking for something to try in your own 600-point games, it’s a rerally solid place to start!

No Sabers Necessary:

Clone Captain Rex (Up Close and Personal, Recon Intel, Environmental Gear)
The Bad Batch (Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Echo)
Clone Troopers x2 (one with Boil)
ARC Troopers (with Clone Medic)
Clone Commandos DS (Offensive Push, Katarn Pattern Armor, DC-17m ICWS Config)

Command Cards:
Call Me Captain, Ambush, Take That, Clankers!, Air Support, We’re Not Programmed, We Do What We Do, Standing Orders

Battle Deck: Advanced Intel, Fortified Positions

The list brings a lot of turn one tricks with Scout and Infiltrate, an awful lot of range two firepower and a big callout goes to the ARC Troopers with the Clone Medic commander upgrade — for only 20 points more, the Medic not only adds an extra body to the ARC’s that gainst all of their key words, it adds healing, and that’s incredibly efficient in smaller games with a list like this where every model is adding something to the list.

Between Rex, Bad Batch, and Delta Squad you have lots of great targets for that heal, or just the ARCs themselves, but it really shows why this list is such a solid option for Recon.

Feel free to check out the rest of the lists on the Longshanks event here.

📦 Grouping Drops: Why Plastic Format Matters

Before diving into our Battleforce predictions, it’s worth explaining allitle bit of our process for how we got here.
We know that AMG is transitioning the Soft Plastic miniatures to new Hard Plastic, and we know that this is a major investment in tooling and production, above and beyond a normal repackaging of a box.

So we were looking for areas where 4–5 retoolings, that all shared a common theam were happening, or where some big retoolings/releases were happening, but there were potential holes in the release window.

So when we see a cluster of hard plastic boxes on the roadmap? That’s when our bingo card starts to light up.

🎯 Battleforce Candidates (Speculation Mode: On)

1. Scarif Battleforce (Empire) – The Sure Bet

Will Shick brings this one up in his appearance on Notorious Scoundrels, add to that the roadmap showing the following releases:

  • Krennic (Imperial High Command Q1 2026)

  • Shoretroopers (Q1 2026)

  • Imperial Death Troopers (Q2 2026)

  • E-Web Heavy Blaster Teams (Q2 2026)

  • 74-Z Speeder Bikes (Q2 2026)

That’s five classic Scarif units, all getting resculpts and landing potentially within a couple of months of each other.

This one looks locked and loaded.

2. Echo Base Returns & Hoth Redux

There’s plenty of reason to believe both Rebels and Empire will get Hoth-era refreshes:

New Star Wars: Legion Han and Luke on Tauntauns miniatures scheduled for Q1 2026 release.

Han Solo and Luke Skywalker ride again — the new hard plastic sculpts arriving Q1 2026 bring the Hoth heroes to life in dynamic fashion.

  • Han & Luke on Tauntauns (Q1 2026)

  • Tauntauns (Q1 2026)

  • T-47 Airspeeder (Q1 2026)

  • Rebel Veterans (Q2 2026)

  • Darth Vader & General Veers (Q3 2025)

  • Snowtroopers (Q2 2026)

  • Imperial Probe Droids (Q1 2026)

  • E-Web Heavy Blaster Teams (Q2 2026)

  • 74-Z Speeder Bikes (Q2 2026)

  • AT-ST (Q4 2025)

What’s unclear is whether this will be a physical update of the old Echo Base & Blizzard Force boxes as a potential splash release, or a digital-only document update with. We’re watching this one closely especially as Kris called it out as a possibility back before the Adepticon Roadmap was even announced.

3. Hutt Cartel / Bounty Hunter Battleforce

Back at Adepticon, Kris interviewed Will Shick who brought up the Hutt Clan in an off the cuff comment when asked about the future of Shadow Collective and Mercenaries. That opens the door for another Scum-style Battleforce that could be anchored by:

Scene from The Empire Strikes Back featuring Boba Fett, Bossk, IG-88, and other bounty hunters on the bridge of a Star Destroyer.

Could these classic bounty hunters be the backbone of a future Hutt Cartel Battleforce? Fans have long speculated on the return of these iconic scum and villainy figures.

  • The Empire Strikes Back Bounty Hunters (We don’t see the resculpts of Imperial Boba and Bossk on the Roadmap yet, and a 5 model box set in the vain of Imperial High Command or Heroes of the 501st would be a very appealing buy, especially with them being usable across factions)

  • Weequay Pirates (Q1 2026 release already announced and we know Weequays feature heavily in the fight on Jabba’s Sail Barge)

  • WLO-5 Speeder Tank (Q1 2026)

We also know that we have Rotta the Hutt in the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu movie, and we know that they are exploring mounted units so things like a Jabba and Bib Fortuna box, and a Rancor with optional Boba Fett rider could all be potential areas for some exciting releases.

4. Wishlist: What Could Be

Seeing as we are getting in to the more wish listing side now we also touched on:

  • Saw’s Renegades: Rebel-aligned force with Partisans, Jyn, Cassian, potential era overlap where you could looks at the Clone Wars era for some Clone support and Ahsoka.

  • Riff Tamson’s Aquatic Strike Team: Weirder, but flavorful — and who doesn’t want aquatic terrain rules?
