X-Wing Alliance Releases 2025–2026 Roadmap

The community-led X-Wing Alliance (XWA) has published its 2025–2026 Roadmap, setting out key milestones for the future of X-Wing’s evolving Organized Play scene.

In just one year, the XWA — formed in June 2024 — has rapidly established itself as a key driver of post-AMG X-Wing Organized Play. Their latest update outlines major points, rules, and governance updates coming over the next twelve months, culminating in the first-ever XWA World Championship at Adepticon 2026.

Key Roadmap Highlights

Meanwhile, the XWA Organized Play season is in full flow, with nearly 200 Squad Championships and 20 System Opens running globally — a remarkable achievement for a volunteer-led initiative.

A New Era for X-Wing OP

The XWA’s roadmap is the latest sign of strength from the global X-Wing community, which continues to build its own sustainable ecosystem of Organized Play and rules updates.

While AMG remains the publisher of the game, the XWA now plays an increasingly vital role in delivering events, maintaining a balanced meta, and fostering new content — including renewed support for Epic play.

It’s a compelling example of grassroots gaming at its best. With the first XWA World Champion set to be crowned at Adepticon 2026, the future of X-Wing looks as dynamic as ever.
