Shatterpoint 2025 Update – Major Unit Reworks Land
Atomic Mass Games has just published a major balance update for Star Wars: Shatterpoint, shaking up more than 30 units as part of their ongoing effort to keep the game healthy, diverse, and exciting.
This May 2025 transmission marks the biggest revision to the game’s core unit roster since launch, with a mix of glow-ups for older characters and targeted adjustments to newer additions.

🔧 Key Highlights from the Update
General Anakin Skywalker
Gains a new ranged attack and sees tweaks to “I’m Going to End This” for greater flexibility. His rework helps him feel more dynamic without overshadowing others.
Ahsoka Tano, Jedi No More
Now has a new reactive ability (“You’ll Find I Have Many Qualities for You to Dislike”), a slightly improved Expertise chart, and a clearer version of “Fierce Protector.” Her playstyle stays intact but gains much-needed resilience.
Asajj Ventress, Sith Assassin
Receives only minor changes, preserving her role as a high-risk, high-reward duelist while smoothing some rough edges.
Additional units across the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War eras have seen changes, many intended to bring underused options back into regular rotation.
This update reflects AMG’s long-term balance philosophy — updating in waves rather than piecemeal — and positions the game well going into its second anniversary.
🏆 Community Reactions: Winners & Losers
Matt Bronson at The Fifth Trooper has already weighed in with a “Winners and Losers” breakdown, highlighting some of the more impactful changes.
He calls Anakin’s rework “a complete glow-up,” credits Ahsoka’s adjustments as solid (if slightly conservative), and points out that some reworks may still leave players underwhelmed — or wondering why their favorites were passed over entirely.
